A son took his mother to a old age home, where he visited her from time to time.

After his father’s death, the Son decided to leave his mother at old age home and visited her on and off.

Once he received a call from old age home….Mom very serious ….. please come to visit.

Son went and saw mom very critical, on her dying bed.

He asked: Mom what can I do for you?

Mom replied… “Please install fans in the old age home, there are none…. Also put a fridge for betterment of food because many times I slept without food”.

Son was surprised and asked: mom, while you were here you never complained, now you have few hours left and you are telling me all this, why?

Mom replied…..”it’s OK dear, I’ve managed with the heat, hunger & pain, but when your children will send you here, I am afraid you will not be able to manage!

She warned me vehemently to take care with what I left behind and said that this is why she wants to modernize the old age home because she feared that one day, perhaps, my children would abandon me there and I would experience what she did. Her final words were, “What you give is what you get.”

CLASS MOCKS A POOR BOY FOR LIVING IN AN OLD TRAILER — ONE DAY THEY SEE HIM SITTING IN A LUXURY SUV.

Sam’s father passed away when he was still a baby. Since then, he had helped his mom, Susan, earn extra cash when he had time off from school.

Susan barely earned enough money to keep the lights on and pay for Sam’s school fees as she was autistic and struggled to find a steady job.

In class, Sam was constantly teased. B*llies at school often called him names like “bum” and “broke boy.” One b*lly in particular, Jared, once told him, “People like you will always be stuck living in trailers.”

One day, their landlord, Tobey, came to collect the rent. Tobey also worked as a real estate agent in the area and had posters all over town. During Tobey’s visit, a massive storm hit town, and he tried to rush home, but his car wouldn’t start.

“Don’t worry, sir. I’ll look under the hood and see what’s wrong,” Sam said. Sam was quite handy and knew how to fix anything that had a motor. One of his weekend jobs was helping a mechanic in town.

In under an hour, Sam had Tobey’s car fixed.

“Thanks, kid. I’ve never seen someone fix an engine in the rain before,” Tobey said.

One day, Jared noticed that Sam was absent from school. He suggested to his friends that they should pay Sam a visit.

“Let’s go see what the broke boy is getting up to in his wrecked hut,” Jared joked.

When they got close to Sam’s trailer, they saw that he and his mother were packing boxes into a fancy SUV. They realized that he was moving out and became curious.

When Sam, Susan, and Tobey drove off, Jared and his friends tried to follow them. The SUV was far too quick for them to keep up with on their bikes, and they soon lost the trace.

The following day, Jared and his friends followed Sam after school to see where he had moved. Later that afternoon, Jared saw that Sam’s mom was holding hands with Tobey.

Jared recognized Tobey from the posters all around town.

“Holy cow, Sam’s mom is dating the real estate guy!” Jared told his friends.

“I was a real piece of work back then, but life has done a good job of humbling me since.”

From that day on, Jared never teased Sam again.

10 years later, Jared received an invitation in the mail.

When he arrived, he was surprised to see that Sam had organized the entire event.

Jared told Sam that he felt karma had caught up with him because he ended up living in the same trailer park where Sam used to live. Sam was kind to Jared and forgave him for his treatment in school.

“I know times are tough for you right now, but I’ll tell you something that my mother once told me. You may not have much, but always be grateful for the little that you have,” Sam told him. Some of Sam’s old classmates asked him how he could afford such a nice place.

Sam revealed that Tobey taught him the ins and outs of selling luxury real estate and that he had taken over his stepfather’s company.

“My stepdad taught me a valuable lesson many years ago. He told me that I’ll never find happiness if there’s bitterness in my heart,” Sam said.

All of Sam’s classmates congratulated him on his success and told him that he was the pride of the entire school.

Wife: I have a  bag full of used clothing I’d like to give away.

Husband: Why not just throw it in the trash? That’s much easier.

Wife: But there are poor starving people who can really use all these clothes.

Husband: Honey, anyone who fits into your clothing is not starving… 😀

A wife finds a note from her husband on the fridge one morning..

My dear wife,

You will surely understand that I have certain needs that you, being 57 years old can no longer satisfy. I am very happy with you and I value you as a good wife. Therefore, after reading this letter, I hope that you will not wrongfully interpret the fact that I will be spending the evening with my 19 year old secretary at the comfort inn hotel.

Please don’t be upset – I shall be home before midnight. When the man came home late that night, he found the following note on the dining table…

My dear husband,

I received your letter and thank you for your honesty about me being 57 years old. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you are also 57 years old.

As you know I am a maths teacher at our local college. I would like to inform you that while you read this, I will be at the Hotel Fiesta with Michael, one of my students, who is also the assistant tennis coach. He is young virile and, like your secretary, is 19 years old.

As a successful businessman who has an excellent knowledge of maths, you will understand that we are in the same situation, although with one small difference – 19 goes into 57 more times than 57 goes into 19. Therefore, I will not be home until sometime tomorrow.

We Were Kicked Out by Our Landlord for a Week to Make Room for His Brother

Nancy thought her situation couldn’t get any worse when she and her three girls had to leave the rental home they were living in for a week. On the other hand, a terrible betrayal was revealed during an unplanned meet with the landlord’s brother.

Even though it’s only a very small amount, our house is still ours. The kitchen paint is breaking off so badly that I’ve started calling it “abstract art.” The floor grunts every time I walk on it.

It is still thought of as home, though. My three kids, Lily, Emma, and Sophie, are the ones who make me feel this way with their silly acts and small things they do. These things remind me of why I’m working so hard.

Money was always what I thought about. When it came to paying our rent and other bills, my work as a waitress barely scratched the surface. There was not a single extra or backup plan in place. I asked about the next step we should take if our attempt fails.

The next day, the phone rang while I was drying my clothes outside.

Hey there! To answer, I put the phone so that it was right between my shoulder and ear.

“Nancy, It’s Peterson.”

When I heard his voice, my stomach started to hurt. “Hi, Mr. Peterson. Does everything meet your standards?”

“I need you to be away from the house for a week,” he said, sounding as casual as if he were asking me to help him water his plants. He said this in the most relaxed way possible.

“What?” asks. “When I held Sophie’s shoes in my hands, I didn’t feel any movement.”

“My brother needs accommodation when visiting the area.” I told him he could use someone else’s house if he wanted to.

I thought I got what he was saying wrong because of this. “Please, wait—this is my residence.” The lease is now ours.

“He shot, ‘Don’t start with that lease nonsense.’” “Do you remember the last time your rent arrived late?” At that point, I could have kicked you out, but I chose not to. That’s something I could have done. You owe me something now.

I got a better grip on the phone. “I was late by one day,” I said, even though my voice was shaking. “My daughter was sick and miserable.” That was something I told you—”

He stopped it and said, “It doesn’t matter.” “Your departure has until Friday.” If you don’t move forward, you might never come back.

I asked Mr. Peterson not to let me show how bad things were for me. “I nowhere else could go.”

He replied in a cold voice, “It’s not my business,” and the link was cut, ending the conversation.

While sitting on the couch, I couldn’t take my eyes off the phone I was holding. I couldn’t breathe well, and my heart was beating so fast I could hear it.

“Mama, what is wrong?” With worry in her eyes, my oldest daughter Lily came to the door to ask what was going on.

I really worked hard to smile. “Nothing, my darling.” You and your sisters can keep having fun with playhouse games.

Even so, it wasn’t without value. There were no family members close, I didn’t have any savings, and I didn’t have any ways to fight back. In the event that I fail to meet Peterson’s requirements, he would find a reason to remove me for good.

By Thursday night, the few bags we had were only big enough to hold the smallest items. As much as the women were interested, I wasn’t able to fully explain the situation myself.

By telling them we were going on an adventure, I tried to give them hope.

“is it far?” Sophie was holding Mr. Floppy close to her chest when she asked the question.

So she wouldn’t see me, I said, “Not too far.”

The hotel was much better than I thought it would be. Due to the thin walls, we could hear every cough, squeak, and loud speech on the other side of the room. We could barely all fit in the room because it was so small.

Emma put her hands over her ears and said, “Mama, it’s so loud.”

I told her, “I understand, my dear,” as I gently brushed her hair.

While playing “I Spy,” Lily tried to take her sisters’ minds off of what she was doing, but the plan failed for a long time. Sophie began to cry as her face became swollen.

“Where’s Mr. Flopsy?” While she cried, her voice got slurred.

My stomach went down into its pit. In my hurry to leave, I forgot about the family pet.

I answered with a shaking voice, “He is still at home.”

“I cannot fall asleep without him!” It made her cry, and Sophie then grabbed my arm.

I reassured her that everything would be okay by holding her and kissing her. It was still clear to me that it was wrong.

I couldn’t do anything as I looked up at the cracks in the ceiling that night while Sophie cried herself to sleep.

Sophie couldn’t stop crying even after the fourth night. It hurt my heart like a knife every time I heard someone cry.

With a bitter tone, she begged, “Please, Mama.” “I seek Mr. Floppy.”

I held her tightly and moved her back and forth in my arms.

I was no longer able to handle it.

“I will get him” was whispered, more to myself than to her. “I’ll grab him.”

I didn’t know much about the process, but I had to give it a try.

My heart was racing, so I left my car parked down the street and stared at the house. What would happen if they wouldn’t let me in? Imagine that Mr. Peterson is here and watching this. Still, I will always remember the picture of Sophie’s tear-stained face.

As I took a deep breath and walked up to the door, I could hear Sophie crying, “Please.” When my fingers hit the wood, I held my breath.

When I opened the door, there was a man I had never seen before. He was tall and had eyes that were the perfect bright green. In general, he was nice.

At first, he asked, “Is it possible for me to be of help to you?” His face showed that he was confused.

When I said “Hello,” I stumbled. “I am the tenant of this property, thus I apologies for any trouble.” I thought I might find the stuffed animal bunny my child had left inside earlier.

He blinks right at me. Try to be patient if you can. So you live here, right?

When I said “yes,” I felt a lump form in the back of my throat. “But Mr. Peterson told us we had to leave for a week because you were staying here.”

He made a motion with his brows wrinkled. “What?” asks. “Based on what my brother said, the house was empty and ready for me to move into temporarily.”

I can’t stop the words from coming out of my mouth. “It does not lack contents.” This is where my house is made. My kids and I live in a hotel in a different part of the city right now. Lack of her animal makes it hard for my youngest child to fall asleep.

I thought for a moment that he was mad at me because his face got darker. He didn’t say anything, but instead said, “That son of a…” He stopped doing what he was doing by closing his eyes and taking a deep breath in.

He then said, “I’m sorry,” but his voice got softer. Giving us permission to enter will help us find the animal. “I had no knowledge.”

As I was about to walk in, I stopped, and he moved out of the way right away. When I smelled my own house, it made me feel like I could not hold back the tears that were about to fall. When he first met me, Jack said he would help me check out Sophie’s room, which didn’t seem to have changed at all.

Jack got Mr. Floppy out from under the bed and said, “He’s here.”

As I held the hare, I couldn’t help but think of how happy Sophie would be. “Thank you,” I said, but my voice began to shake.

“Tell me everything,” Jack said as he sat down on Sophie’s bedside. “Exactly what did my brother say to you?”

Even though I didn’t want to, I told him about the call, the threats, and the lodge. Every time he listened quietly, his jaw got tighter.

He got up and went to get his phone after I was done. He was the one who said, “This is wrong.”

What the heck are you doing?

“I am currently working on finding a solution to this problem,” he said as he picked up the phone.

What we talked about next was aggressive, even though I could only hear his side.

“You moved a single mother and her kids from their house?” Is it for me? Jack’s voice was straight. You can’t get away with this. If I can, I will quickly fix the problem.

He quickly cut the other person off and talked to me the whole time. “Arange your things at the hostel.” “You’re supposed to come tonight.”

I wasn’t sure if I had fully understood what he said because I was blinking. “what about you?”

“I will find other lodging,” he said with confidence. “I cannot stay at this place after my brother’s behavior.” He also has to pay your rent for the next six months.

Jack helped us move that night. She smiled when she saw Mr. Floppy and held the rabbit close to her chest like it was a valuable gem.

I thanked Jack as we began to put our things away. “Thank you,” I replied. “You not had to do all this.”

He made it clear, “I was not able to let you stay there for one more night.”

Jack kept coming back over the next few weeks as well. There was a leak in the kitchen faucet that was giving him problem. He brought dinner to our flat once in the evening.

“You were not required to do this,” I said, trying to make my point clear that I was unhappy with the situation.

He said, “It doesn’t matter,” and he sighed. “I enjoy assisting.”

This made the women love him. Lily asked him for help with the science project she was working on. Emma did a pretty good job of getting him to play board games. Sophia felt even better around Mr. Floppy, so she gave him a “hug” to welcome Jack to their tea party.

For the acts of kindness she had done, I started to get a better idea of who was responsible. He showed me that he cared about my kids, had a good sense of humor, and was patient. There was finally a love relationship between us after the dinners we had together.

After a few months, Jack spoke softly to us that night while we were sitting on the porch after the women had gone to bed.

He looked out into the yard and said, “I have been thinking.”

“On what?”

“I am resolved that you and the girls will never feel this degree of intensity once more” . Not worrying about losing their things right away is not something that should bother anyone.

His comments had an effect that lasts.

At the end, he said, “I am ready to help you find a long-lasting answer.” “Will you marriage me?”

I was really shocked by the news. I don’t know what to say when you say “Jack…” Without a doubt!

After a month, we moved into a cute, little apartment that Jack had found for us. Lily really did have her own bedroom. Em picked the color magenta for hers. Sophie quickly ran to hers while holding Mr. Floppy up as a shield.

Sophie whispered to her mom as she got ready for bed that night, “Mama, I love our new house.” She was getting into bed with my help.

“I agree, my darling,” I told her as I kissed her on the face.

That night, Jack stopped by for dinner and helped set the table. He was very helpful. During the time the women were talking, I watched him and saw that he was more than just our star. He was in charge of the family.

Judges doubted her song choice, but her performance left millions speechless

Howie Mandel pressed the Golden Buzzer and Simon Cowell called her the next Taylor Swift. This speaks volumes of the incredible vocal abilities of Grace VanderWaal who stunned millions with her first ever audition on America’s Got Talent when she was just 12. Her choice of song made the judges question her performance, but she was able to stun over 50 million viewers who had seen her audition.

Asked if she believed she could win the competition, charming Grace answered, “Well, miracles can happen.”

“I’m doing my own song tonight, because I really think that it shows who I am,” Kansas-born Grace said. “I hope. I hope it does.”

Grace accompanied herself on ukulele. Most of her friends and classmates learned that she actually sings and writes songs when she took the stage of the talent show. It was right there and then that she let her distinctive voice and her song-writing skills shine, spilling the secret of her love for music.

She wowed the judges right from the start; with the opening lines of her original song.

“I don’t know my name. I don’t play by the rules of the game,” the lyrics went. “So you say I’m just trying, just trying.”

Both the judges and the audience were stunned more and more as her song went on.

Howie Mandel was quick to comment the performance that took his breath away. “This is a show about surprises,” he said. “You used the word miracle, and I think you are a living, beautiful, walking miracle.”

He then continued praising Grace’s song and performance, adding, “You’re original. People not knowing your name is so right and so wrong, because I think the world is gonna know your name. I think right now they’re gonna know your name,” referencing the lyrics of the unique piece.

Mandel then pressed the Golden Buzzer.

Simon Cowell wasn’t short of words of praise for the young talent.

“Grace, you know what I predict for you,” he said. “I think you are the next Taylor Swift. What a great girl. What a great personality.”

The rest of the judges were as impressed.

Since her audition, Grace, who ended being the AGT’s $1 million champion in Season 11, has recorded albums and launched an acting career in Stargirl. She plays a pop star in Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis.

The reason why the 7-year-old daughter of my fiance cooks and does all the chores daily left me speechless

My fiance and his 7-year-old daughter moved in with me. I was looking forward to my new life with them and made sure they felt welcomed and cozy in their new home. But almost every morning, I was awoken by my future stepdaughter’s tiny steps that headed straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast before her father and I got out of bed.

At first, I found this very cute, but as days went by, I realized this became a routine for Amila. I knew children liked pretending to be adults at times, but it seemed to me that Amila was taking on too much herself.

One morning, when I entered the kitchen, I saw he making coffee using the coffee machine. “Look, I made you and daddy some fresh coffee, please try it and tell me if you like it,” she said to me.

“Of course I like it sweetheart, but why are you doing all this?” I said. “You know what Amila, you are still very young and you need more sleep, why would you wake up before dawn and make breakfast for us?” I honestly wondered.

But Amila pretended not to hear what I was saying.

Midjourney

The breakfast thing happened again and again, and I found it more awkward each time.

It was like that until I figured out she was trying to please her dad for some reason. When my fiance walked into the kitchen one morning, his daughter told him she made pancakes. He gave her a kiss and said, “Thanks, honey. You’re getting to be quite the little homemaker.”

Hearing the word ‘homemaker,’ Amila and I reacted totally differently from each other. While I was shocked that he called her that, Amila seemed to feel very proud of herself.

This only confirmed my suspicions that there was more to the story.

Midjourney

A few days passed by and I told Amila we needed to talk. I explained that she didn’t need to prepare the breakfast and clean around the house. She was just a child and she should have left the cooking and the chores to the grown ups, but then she turned to me and said something that crushed my heart.

“I heard Daddy talking to Uncle Jack about my mom. He said that if a woman doesn’t wake up early, cook, and do all the chores, no one will ever love or marry her,” Amila said. “So if I don’t do all this, my dad won’t love me any longer.”

Something in me snapped. This sweet child carried the weight of her father’s toxic expectations.

This needed to change ASAP, and I had a plan.

In the days to come, I asked from my fiance to do a bunch of chores, such as mowing the lawn, do the laundry… you name it.

Finally, after a couple of days, he realized something wasn’t right. “Hun, what’s going on, why do you make me do all this?” he asked. “Well, if you can’t do all those chores and more, then you won’t be useful to me, so why would I marry you?” I said.

My words left my fiance speechless. “WHAT!?” he yelled.

I then turned to him and said, “Ryan, do you know why your daughter makes breakfast and cleans the house every single day? Because she overheard you telling your brother that he mom wasn’t worth loving unless she woke up early to cook for you.

“What’s most, she now thinks you won’t love her if she doesn’t do that.”

“Oh my God. But…but I didn’t mean that,” he tried to defend himself.

“You owe your daughter an apology,” I said, hoping I didn’t make things worse.

“I know I do,” Ryan said and went to Amila’s room. He explained to her that his love for her was unconditional. She was his little baby and he loved her no matter what. He told her what she overheard was wrong and that she didn’t need to make breakfast ever again.

Amila felt relieved. These words were everything she needed to hear.

Ryan still feels guilty of making his daughter doubt his love for her, but he now does his best to be a better father.

Keyboard shortcuts

A Canadian customer was calling to find out if there was a faster way to trigger menu commands than mousing up to the menus.

Agent: “Certainly, sir. There are keyboard shortcuts for many of those commands.

For example, suppose you want to trigger the Select All command.”

Caller: “Yes, I use that one all the time! How do I do it?”

Agent: “Well, you just press Control-A.”

Caller (after a pause): “Well, that’s not working for me.”

Agent: “Do you have a text document open in front of you?”

Caller: “Yes, I sure do.”

Agent: “OK, now press Control-A.”

Caller: “I am, but nothing happens.”

Agent: “The text isn’t highlighted?”

Caller: “No, there’s no change at all.”

Agent: “That’s odd. If you press Control-A the whole document should be highlighted. Try it again. Press Control-A.
Tell me exactly what’s happening.”

Caller (nearing his Canadian breaking point): “Listen. I’m pressing Control, eh? And nothing’s happening, eh?”

Are waiting at the bus stop

A husband and wife are waiting at the bus stop with their nine children. A blind man joins them after a few minutes.

When the bus arrives, they find it overloaded and only the wife and the nine kids are able to fit onto the bus.

So the husband and the blind man decide to walk. After a while, the husband gets irritated by the ticking of the stick of the blind man as he taps it on the sidewalk, and says to him, “Why don’t you put a piece of rubber at the end of your stick? That ticking sound is driving me crazy.”

The blind man replies, “If you had put a rubber at the end of YOUR stick, we’d be riding the bus, so shut the hell up.”

A foursome of senior golfers

A foursome of senior golfers hit the course with waning enthusiasm for the sport.

“These hills are getting steeper as the years go by,” one complained.

“These fairways seem to be getting longer too,” said one of the others.

“The sand traps seem to be bigger than I remember them too,” said the third senior.

After hearing enough from his Senior buddies, the oldest, and the wisest of the four of them at 87 years old, piped up and said…

“Quit your dang complaining and just be thankful we’re still on the right side of the grass!”

A little Johnny got on the bus

A little Johnny got on the bus, sat next to a man reading a book, and noticed he had his collar backward.

The little Johnny asked why he wore his collar backward.

The man, who was a priest, said,

‘I am a Father.’

The little Johnny replied,

‘My Daddy is also a father, but he doesn’t wear his collar like that’

The priest looked up from his book and answered,

“I am the Father of many.’

The Little boy said,

“My Dad has 4 boys, 4 girls and two grandchildren and he doesn’t wear his collar that way!’

The priest, getting impatient, said.

‘I am the Father of hundreds, and went back to reading his book.

The little Johnny sat quietly thinking for a while, then leaned over and said,

“Maybe you should wear a c0ndom, and put your pants on backwards instead of your collar.”
